Day 1

Introduction to ISAAC Platform and ISAAC Workspace

The first day of the ISAAC training session sets the stage by introducing participants to the concept and capabilities of the ISAAC Platform. This powerful system integrates both hardware and software to create the perfect workflows to access, manage, and monitor audio-visual setups efficiently.

The session kicks off with an overview of the platform’s concept, highlighting its user-centric approach and typical use cases, from AV system management to content scheduling and integration with various devices. Trainees will learn about how ISAAC provides a centralized management solution for complex AV environments, making it easier to handle system infrastructure from a single pane of glass.

After the introduction, the session dives into ISAAC Workspace, the software interface where all the access and monitoring take place. Here, participants will get hands-on experience with key features, including:

Panels: The cornerstone of ISAAC Workspace, Panels offer to access machines with clientless remote access, manage web based control panels, preview documents, and more! They can be organized in folders, customized, and configured with permissions to ensure secure access to sensitive information.

Variables: These are critical and fundamental for real-time monitoring, logging, and triggering of alerts.

Logging and Alerts: This feature ensures that participants understand how to track system performance and receive notifications when issues arise, improving the platform’s reliability.

• Infrastructure: The session will also touch on how ISAAC allows the user to view, monitor, and manage key infrastructure assets like network switches, windows computers, and more

By the end of Day 1, participants will have gained a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts of ISAAC Workspace, laying the foundation for more advanced topics in the upcoming days.

Day 2

Advanced Features and System Management

The second day of the ISAAC training dives deeper into the more sophisticated capabilities of the platform, allowing participants to explore advanced features that elevate AV system control and content management.

The day starts with Scheduling, an essential feature for organizing and automating AV workflows. Participants will learn how to use ISAAC’s intuitive drag-and-drop interface to schedule actions and content, such as playing media or triggering system-wide events at specified times. This feature simplifies coordination across multiple devices and displays.

Next, Media Players and Content Management come into focus. These tools allow users to upload, organize, and schedule media across devices, with the flexibility to create playlists or manage complex compositions. This feature is key for managing dynamic content across large AV setups, making it crucial for environments like digital media, exhibitions, or control rooms.

After exploring content-related features, the session shifts to Roles, Users, and Security. Here, participants will dive into ISAAC’s robust user management capabilities, learning how to assign roles, manage user access, and configure security settings to safeguard sensitive operations and ensure that the right people have appropriate access to various parts of the system.

A brief introduction to Express Lane follows, showcasing how this feature enables quick access to commonly used panels on mobile devices. This feature is particularly valuable for technicians who need instant control in on-the-go scenarios.

In the next phase, participants will cover Backups and Virtualization—critical components for ensuring system reliability and scalability. They’ll discover how to set up automated backups to prevent data loss and how virtualization enables efficient use of hardware resources, making it easier to expand or replicate systems when needed.

Finally, the day wraps up with an overview of Hardware and Licensing. This section covers the physical infrastructure supporting the ISAAC software, from the hardware used to run the system to the licensing required for various software features. Understanding this will give participants insight into how ISAAC should be integrated in a design package.

By the end of Day 2, participants will have a thorough understanding of ISAAC’s more advanced capabilities and will be prepared to manage both the software and hardware aspects of the platform effectively.

Day 3

Mastering ISAAC – Expert Tools, Automation, and Integration

On the final day of the ISAAC training session, participants will explore the most advanced features of the platform, diving into customization, automation, and integration possibilities. This session is focused on building mastery over ISAAC’s capabilities, empowering users to fully leverage its potential in highly dynamic and integrated environments.

The day begins with a deep dive into Compositions and Composition Templates. These powerful tools allow participants to create and manage complex visual and audio sequences, synchronizing media across multiple devices. Participants will learn how to design compositions and even create their own composition templates, streamlining workflows for complex projects and ensuring consistency in large-scale AV installations. By mastering this feature, users can create more flexible and scalable content management systems that adapt to their specific needs.

Next, the session transitions to Node-Red, which is embedded within ISAAC Workspace. Node-Red is a flow-based development tool designed for visual programming, and its native integration into ISAAC allows participants to create automated workflows without needing deep programming expertise. During this segment, participants will be introduced on how to build custom automation scripts, connect to ISAAC Workspace, and manage complex data flows using the intuitive drag-and-drop interface provided by Node-Red. This enables participants to add any controllable device to the ISAAC environment.

Finally, the session concludes with an introduction to Generic Modules and the ISAAC API. This robust interface allows other systems to connect with ISAAC, share data, and enhance interoperability. Participants will learn how to use the API to integrate third-party systems—whether for monitoring, content management, or automation—making ISAAC a truly connected solution within a larger AV ecosystem. This final topic solidifies the platform’s flexibility and the user’s ability to tailor ISAAC to fit their specific requirements.

By the end of Day 3, participants will have gained expert-level knowledge of ISAAC’s most advanced tools and integrations. They’ll be equipped to create complex workflows, automate processes, and connect ISAAC with external systems, making them true ISAAC power users ready to tackle sophisticated AV challenges.
